Al of Charity Through Gaming

Factions: Mercs, Cryx, Skorne

Al is a NY-NJ-PA Tri-state gamer of the NJ SOB’s and has been known to travel the nation to show he has a pair. His main faction is Cryx with Skorne as a second choice. Inspired by the folks that run the Breast Cancer Brawl and the Thrallharvest Foodmachine competition, he has undertaken the project to promote awareness of certain issues through wargaming – be it water quality/scarcity, Type 1 Diabetes, cancer or autism, he’s looking for a way to get the gaming community more involved with any issue.

Because with a million problems in the world, you gotta have a pair to take it all on.

I’m a PG/Player from the St Louis MO area. I currently am on the Diecon Comittee and run at least one event a month.
My main factions are Trolls and Protectorate but as of now I could field an army from any of the release factions or contracts (although Searforge would be difficult).

bobaferret of Ghettokore Studios

Factions: Cygnar, Protectorate of Menoth, Trollbloods, Mercenaries, Legion of Everblibht, Retribution of Scyrah

A Cygnar player first but a pewter addict at heart, bobaferret rationalizes her large collection of Privateer models a being part of the territory as a Press Ganger. She started playing Warmachine in 2005 just before NQ1 was released. It wasn’t long before her boyfriend’s sons picked up Cryx and Khador, leaving the boyfriend as the final hold out. He soon converted to Menoth — a rare instance of the girlfriend getting the boyfriend into a game!

Over the past few years, bobaferret (Jen, Jennifer if she’s in trouble :P) had cultivated a passion for painting and has acquired several painting clients along the way. Ghettokore Studios was started as a means to showcase painting techniques for the tabletop gamer, but has served as a soapbox for Warmachine-related issues too. In addition to Ghettokore, Jen runs Project: Paint Pink and will be launching Prima Chroma, a blog to share tips and tricks to help fledgling painters get that pewter painted!

Hi there! I live in Rotterdam (the Netherlands) and started playing the game when Hordes came out in 2006. My local gaming group consists of 8 people atm (6 actively playing WM/Hordes including my brother) and we meet up every Tuesday evening to play, paint and talk! Four times a year there is a national con called Ducosim and we try to go there as often as we can to meet up with the other players in the country and play in the PPS tournament. As it stands now, I’m still totally addicted to my Menoth faction and a true believer.

Born and raised in Texas, I’m currently a history graduate student in California.

I got into tabletop wargaming a few years back, my first experience being a 40K Tau cadre. I still have it, but my main interest these days is my Cygnar force – I’ve found Western Immoren to be far more exciting than the grim darkness of the forty-first millennium,

Factions: Protectorate of Menoth, Trollbloods, Retribution of Scyrah

Born and bred in the Great South Land, moved to the Frozen North in 2000 to further the nefarious agenda of his people – that is, making everyone eat vegemite. A gamer since the mid 80′s, he established Lost Hemisphere to support the VS System CCG community in January 2008, but changed tack late 2008 and became strongly focussed on Warmachine and Hordes. Maintaining standards, the WarmaHordes Challenge was only the first Privateer Press focussed event on the blog, with King of the Mountain following.

G’DayBloke (or Chris, he’s not too fussy) is dedicated to his Protectorate of Menoth army, but has developed a taste for Trollbloods as well, as he works on an army for Project: Paint Pink… oh, and he’s picked up a bunch of Retribution stuff too…

Geist

Factions: Cryx, Cygnar, Menoth, Mercenaries, Retribution

My Name is Lucas Smith ortherwise known as Geist on most forums.

I’ve been a Pressganger since warmachine started and had demo models of it before the actual release to stores, I’m member number 5 on the PP forums and have had a blast with this game and met many people including my wife as a result of playing warmachine.

I’ve been involved in gaming and roleplaying since I was 12 so that puts me at 16 years of gaming :) I am the Press Ganger for the Vancouver B.C. area and don’t plan on stopping any time soon :)

My hopes once things settle down this summer is to get more involved in the Warmachine community at large, how I plan on doing this I’m not 100% sure yet but we will see!

Aside from playing Warmachine I also enjoy painting my models doing graphics work and writing. the website link I have is for Iron Chronicles which is the Live journal community for the IK roleplaying game im running for a few of my friends. Some of my graphics work for those interested can be found at: http://geist-design.deviantart.com/ it has various pieces of artwork ive done including Peices for the now defunct Warmachine e-zine known as Hand Cannon, which was my last contribution to the Warmachine community as I was EIC for the last couple of issues.

I am geek… I function relatively normally in society, I have a decent job, a house, a car, and a girlfriend. I mow the lawn semi-regularly and I sleep in when I can. But every Thursday and Saturday evening I am ‘The General’ if only over a sixteen square feet of felt. But hey it’s better than being a crack addict, if only marginally more socially acceptable.

Soon I will be playing Khador for MKII and the Riverdog Challenge. Additionally, I am the host of the ever so popular Iron Agenda. Do people even listen to me? I didn’t think so. I’ve been a gamer since I was 8 years old and learned about an odd game called AD&D. From role playing games, I moved hardcore into Ancients historical miniature games, particularly the periods around Alexander the Great. After about 10 years of historicals, some local friends introduced me to this new game they had started to play called Warmachine. The elegance and strategy of its mechanics had me hooked and I’ve been playing it exclusively since the summer of 2007. The small gaming group has since evolved into the semi-famous gaming group, the NJ SOB’s (Somerville Ogrun Bokurs).

I am a 37 year old kid who never grew up. Fortunately I have a job (as an HR Director) that affords me the opportunity to paint during my lunch hour. I paint prolifically – somewhere around 18-25 hours per week. I currently play several factions – Khador, Cygnar, Mercenaries, Circle and most recently (for Fight Club) – Retribution. I love warmachine, reading, catching up on TV shows and I am a minor gun enthusiast – although the moniker comes from a song, NOT my love of the law or guns…

Steel Rabbit of The Wargamer

Factions: Retribution of Scyrah, Cygnar, Legion of Everblight

Steel Rabbit began his foray into miniature wargaming at the age of 10. Since then, he has played any game he can get rules for, and paint any figure that comes within range of his brush. After discovering Warmachine he was never the same. Giant robots, an 18th-19th century vibe, and it being produced in his favorite city (Seattle) has struck the right combination, making it a sure favorite. Now it also has elves.

Steel Rabbit resides in Vancouver, British Columbia, with his friends, family, and snowboard. He’s a member of the gaming club: “The Fighting Cocks”, and he works at STRATEGIES Games & Hobbies.

I play pretty much any wargame that I can find opponents for. My all-time favorite has to be 1st edition Warzone, followed by Hordes and then Warmachine. My favorite models to paint would be the now-OOP Confrontation metal figures.

I’m a short, round, brown gamer from Atlanta, Ga, and I’m the local PG over there. This year I started doing the Con Rotation, which included TempleCon, DieCon, Bayou Wars, GenCon, and probably adding Warmachine Weekend to the lineup. I play multiple factions, but I keep coming back to Cryx because of the amazingness that is the undead. I play a lot of games, and I’ll be posting them up on here!
