Why did Slaughterborn steal my pose? ARRRGH!

So, dammit PP! I was not looking to change my mind about a HardCore army this soon after making a list!

I think this model looks pretty sweet, and not knowing any of the rules makes it unlikely that I will switch my choice that quickly. However, I will strive to make predictions on his statline and weapon, at least, and see where we stand.

Statline:

Spd 5 [Low for a Cryx caster]
Str 8 [Good]
Mat 7/8 [Should be about that level; his fluff makes his sound martial]
Rat 5
Def 14/15  [I feel 14 might be low for him, but it still is an option]
Arm 18/17 [Based on the Def]
Cmd 8

Focus 6/7 [I'd prefer the 7 ;)]

His weapon will probably have Reach [as is normal for an Undead Cryx warcaster], P+S 15 with benefits against either blighted or soulless models.

He definitely has a corrosion theme going for him, so I feel that he may have Breath of Corruption and Scything Touch. I hope he has some ARM debuff, either the Curse of Shadows or Parasite. I can see him gaining a completely new type of Corrosion spell. As far as abilities go, I predict he will modify Corrosion rolls to only expire on a 1, or maybe not expire within x inches. Maybe enemy models within his Control Range lose immunities to Corrosion. Someone on the forums suggested d3 Corrosion damage instead of 1 for his feat. That might be a tad weak, but I can see that as an ability or even a CTRL spell “Corroded models in this model’s control area suffer d3 points of damage when failing to lose the Corrosion Continuous Effect” or “Corroded models in this model’s control area suffer 1 point of damage BEFORE making the continuous effect roll, and then suffer damage as normal if they fail to get rid of it.”

Of course, all this is wishful thinking, but any of these abilities would allow him to play on that Corrosion angle us Cryxians have been yearning after for so long.

In any case, unless he gets leaked before May, odds are that I will not switch to a new caster for HC. Bart is still begging for my attention.
