Bastions? More like Basterds AM I RITE?!
While way cool in games, these guys were a chore to paint. I can’t exactly say why, but they’re done, and I breathe a sigh of relief.

I also finished up Rhoven and his buddies:

That’s really nice stuff Stu. What 4 models are left?
I’ve got 3 rune shapers, 10 pygmy sharpshooters, a second earthborn, a second mauler, and 5 long riders before I’ll feel done.

Your Bastions look really good as well as Rhoven. Just out of curiosity, how long did it take you to paint one Bastion? In another month or two, I’m going to be painting mine and wanted to know the time sink involved.

Well, it’s hard to measure. Not because of the time, but just because They’re large and repetitive. I know this sounds dumb, but I don’t hate doing a bunch of infantry models, because they’re tiny. This is like painting a 5 Lancers. It’s not really too bad, but you’re doing the same thing over and over again. The plastics are nice, overall, but this is not GW. There isn’t a lot of variety in pose.
