Ive been playing Hexeris at 500 for sr4 and have been pleased with the results. Here is the list I played for reference:
Hexeris
Basilisk Drak
Basilisk Krea
Bloodrunners
Ferox x3
Venators
Gudrun
Extoller Soulward
Basically the idea is to cram all the AD down the opponents throat. While they are dealing with that mop them up with the ferox or venators. Playing a Hexeris dictates certain parts of your list as you need two things. To maximize hexeris you need solid deathbringer and death march targets. The bloodrunners and ferox make excellent death march targets. The bloodrunners butcher opposing single wound infantry and are extremely fast. The ferox can really put the hurt on what ever kills them.
For death bringer targets i have the pow 8s from the basilisks and a 9 from Gudrun. You really just need to clear out infantry and a pow 8/9 is going to do plenty of that.
The drake was an experiment in pushing models off of control points or out of the mosh pit. In the games Ive played so far that hasnt been a factor. I think the drake should be cut and replaced with a more aggressive beast like the savage.
In the game played against Sorcha today I ran the plan exactly as i had hoped. My advance deploy kept him gummed up. I death bringered Gudrun axing a man-hunter. Then Sorcha did her thing and wind rushed and tried to tempest my ferox that were in front of Hexeris. The tempest succeeds but cant knock down the cats. The next turn the drake gets slammed into Sorcha and I mop her up.
I was really pleased with how this went but I plan on trying a new list at 500. Ive already talked about my love for Xerxis so Im going to give him a go at 500.
Xerxis
Krea
Savage
6 Cetrati
6 Cetrati
Orin
Tyrant Commander
2 void spirit

No Molik? While he doesn’t have AD, you can use his animus to make him have a fake AD, which you can then use on Hexeris to do exactly the same thing.

Molik is way expensive at 500 points. He can be made to work, but(IMO) too often at the cost of too much of the army.

I’ve had good success with a similar Hexeris list.
In mine I only have 8 Venators, added an Extoller Soulward and swapped the Drake for a Shaman.
The soulward adds a lot of versatility to the venators and helps vs incorporeals.
The Shaman is more aggressive than the Drake, can drop another Krea animus(at low DEF targets), helps against incorporeals/Vilmon, and debuffs big threat attackers(especially when he gets the Ghost Sight.

@Penguin
As much as i would love to feel molik in every list the fact is that hes too expensive at 500 points for most casters with Makeda being the one caster id field him with. For the price of molik i can pay for both beasts and save the rest of the points for the infantry that most of our casters desperately need.
@Rynth
YES!
@Skism
I FORGOT TO INCLUDE THE EXTOLLER IN MY LIST. Thanks for catching that. I write so fast sometimes i forget a model.
I agree that the shaman or savage is a better model than the drake. I wanted to try the drake to see if his animus was any use with the venators. It wasnt ever a factor so i will move to one of those two models. I think i might stick with the savage because i think he is a much needed aggressive element.
I appreciate the comments and constructive criticism. If there is any list/model/topic people want to see let me know.
Thanks

While I do not play Skorne I am very interested in their playstyle. Molik terrifies me also.
I await to hear how this works out for ya :D
