Well, HardCore was over, and so people were just hanging out, waiting for the 350 1-1-1-1 tourney to start. So I was talking to my buddy Matt O’Reilly [Gearloop], and we decided to play a game.
750: Denny vs E-Thaggy. I can’t really recall the lists, but I do know that he had quite a few beasts and Typhon. 2 units of Warmongers and a Chieftan.
He wasn’t paying good attention [slightly drunk and exhausted from HardCore], and I was trying not to steam roll him. I started by arcing both Parasite and Crippling Grasp onto his 2 units, and my Pistol Wraiths got some good shots in. Nightmare rolled in and killed a few, and Cankerworm wrecked the Parasited unit a good bit. His remainder killed the Cankerworm, and his Typhon destroyed Nightmare. My bane thralls charged Typhon after he got Crippled, and wrecked him pretty easily. Deneghra feated on that turn as well, and both the Pistol Wraiths blew giant chunks out of E-Thaggy. He was hurting, and had only an Angel and a Harrier left. The Chieftan walked up and whiffed on Deneghra, and then Thaggy advanced to try and knock her down [did it in the wrong order]. He missed, and then on my turn, I used Ghost walk with the Skarlock to advance and kill E-Thaggy in melee with Deneghra after she Parasited him.
All in all, it was a rather rough game for him, but I managed to try and keep it fun. His dice were abysmal, so I gave him a few extra rerolls just to keep things a little more lively on both sides of the table. Essentially, this game simply added another win to my Tide of War tally, pushing me back into the lead over Lord Tyrant Watts.
Next up will be the 350 1-1-1-1 tourney.
Sorry for the duller post than normal, but memories are starting to blur out a little, and I’ll see what I can do ;)

Your posts interest me so I am keeping watch!
Whats a 1-1-1-1 tournament though?

A 1-1-1-1 tournament is usually 1 caster, 1 jack/beast, 1 solo, and 1 unit but there is a fair amount of variation in that.

Up here in the Northeast, it is actually different! It’s defined as 1 caster, 1 solo, 1 unit, 1 unit attachment (which is optional).
What someone pointed out to me for Vader’s version of the format is that it gimps Hordes a lot. Having only 1 beast nerfs their fury generation ability quite a bit.
